BPPV has often been described as "self-limiting" because symptoms often subside or disappear within six months of onset. Symptoms tend to wax and wane. Motion sickness medications are sometimes helpful in controlling the nausea associated with BPPV but are otherwise rarely beneficial. However, various kinds of physical maneuvers and exercises have proved effective. Three varieties of conservative treatment, which involve exercises, and a treatment that involves surgery are described in the next sections.

Use this maneuver to treat your Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV). Notice the pillow behind the shoulders. Your head must not lie on the pillow. this shouldnt be done on a regular basis. this should be done only once. Do this before sleeping. then after doing this, you have to sleep on an inclined position to keep the gravity down. what i did was i slept on 2 thick pillows to keep my head as vertical as possible. then in the morning, try to keep your head steady. avoid bowing down or leaning back. Keep your head vertically positioned for the next 24hours right after you do this Epley maneuver. If you fail to keep your head vertically, it is most likely your BPPV wont be treated. and you have to do this maneuver again. This maneauver should be done once. worse case scenario is you do it more than once until you get really well. for me, i did this twice. so it wasnt easy. but after that i still felt drowzy for after a week. then all became normal.
